When Kevin Corasio, owner of Conch Limo, moved from New York to Key West, Florida, he thought it was the perfect place to make a name for himself in the limousine business. However, Kevin soon realized that he faced stiff competition. “Key West is a party town so a lot of people come here with their limousines and think they’re going to make a living,” he explained. “Work is extremely hard to get here because of that.”
Kevin’s biggest challenge quickly became building an excellent reputation to stand out from his competitors.
Securing Online Reviews
Kevin realized that a key component to solving his issues was building a local online presence, and determined that it was particularly important to be able to showcase customer reviews. Kevin just didn’t know how to best approach this situation particularly because it was difficult to find the time to do this from scratch. That’s when he turned to Yodle.
“With Yodle’s review management feature, I can easily send the review request email right from my account,” he says. “When a customer books a limo, I start the relationship by sending an email confirmation to let them know that my goal is to give them a positive experience. Then, I follow up after the trip is complete with another email that has a link to write a review.”
This approach has resulted in Conch Limo getting more than 10 positive reviews in less than a month. These reviews are automatically posted to Kevin’s website and Facebook business page. “Since working with Yodle, I have requested about 40 reviews. Not everyone writes the reviews but I don’t get discouraged by that. We’ve already started getting customers coming through the internet because we’re so highly recommended,” he explains.
Reaping the Rewards
The owner of one of the biggest resorts in Key West recently reached out to Kevin for service. He had heard of Conch Limo because of their positive reputation online. “He made it pretty clear that he had done his own investigation beforehand and knew quite a bit about us prior to making the phone call. It was really helpful to have the reviews there.” Kevin estimates that the business he got from just this one new customer paid for his marketing investment with Yodle.
Now that he’s seen the success a positive online reputation can bring him, Kevin has taken it up a notch, responding to reviews personally to thank customers for sharing their experiences. He has also taken advantage of other benefits that Yodle provides such as syndicating photos of his fleet of limos and posting promotional offers on the home page of his website that are drawing a lot of attention.
“I came here with one limousine. Now we’re the largest limousine provider in the Florida Keys,” Kevin says. “I can only see it growing from here.”
